From Antique Tiara to Modern Bridal Comb: A Family's Heirlome Reimagined
A wedding day is a significant milestone in anyone's life and every detail is carefully chosen to create lasting memories. For bride-to-be Fiona her wedding day was not just about starting a new chapter it was about honouring the past while embracing the future. When she reached out to us, she had a special request: to transform an antique tiara worn by her mother and grandmother into something new and unique for her own wedding day.
A Family Heirloom Transformed
Fiona's desire to incorporate her family's history into her wedding was truly touching. The antique tiara, passed down through generations held sentimental value and was a symbol of love and commitment. We carefully disassembled the tiara, extracting the pearls and crystals then used these elements to craft a delicate bridal comb. This new creation was designed to sit perfectly in Fiona's chosen low bun hairstyle, adding a touch of elegance and tradition to her bridal look.
A Special Gift for the Mother of the Bride
As a heartfelt gesture, Fiona wanted to honour her mother, who had also worn the antique tiara on her wedding day. We crafted a pair of dainty pearl drop earrings from the same pearls used in Fiona's bridal comb. These earrings were presented to Fiona's mother on the morning of the wedding.
A New Heirloom for Future Generations
The transformation of the antique tiara into a bridal comb and pearl earrings represents more than just beautiful jewellery. It's a connection to the past and a promise for the future. The new comb will now be an heirloom, passed down through generations, each bride adding her unique story to its history.
A Magical Venue and Captivating Photos
Fiona's wedding took place at the picturesque Rowallan Castle in Ayrshire, Scotland. The venue's stunning architecture and lush surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for this heartfelt celebration. The Photographs, captured by Elliot Caunce were just beautiful.
